VehicleVoice #97 – The Chrysler Eco Voyager Concept: a Green-Powered Greenhouse

Chrysler came to the Detroit Auto Show with three concepts to show off. Joe Dehner, Vice President, Small, Premium & Family Vehicle Design, met us at the Chrysler booth to give us a brief tour of the Chrysler Eco Voyager, the Jeep Renegade, and the Dodge Zeo.
All three sported alternative power trains, glittered with LED lights in unexpected places, and boasted glass, glass and more glass. But each was vastly different in, not only it’s design, but it’s perceived use and expected buyer.
This week, we look at all three, starting today with the Chrysler Eco Voyager.

Love the looks of the Eco Voyager. Would love to see an adaptation of the “curves” influence that resulted in the amazing looking cars of the 1930s-1940s. While all were larger, style need not be associated with only large vehicles. I had hopes that the early hybrid produced by Honda, called the insight would start the trend of marrying smart function with streamlined style, but focus groups interviewed by the automotive industry steered the process towards boxy, big, and impractical for eco future application. Thanks for your information.
    Love smart people!
