Inspired by a Locomotive, Super Chief Offers Tri-Fuel Engine
Omigod! Ford continues to tantalize autoshow goers with wildly aggressive truck concepts. They do it almost every year and 2006 is no different. Unfortunately, much of the aggressiveness of these concepts are watered down prior to introduction. A case in point is the Ford Tremor concept that was to telegraph what a future Explorer would look like. Well, the 2002 Explorer that this concept was to tease about was milquetoast compared to the Tremor.
Ford’s F-250 Super Chief pickup concept shown at the 2006 North American International Auto Show may be no different, but VehicleVoice would love to see some of its design cues in production.
The Super Chief gives a glimpse at the future of Ford powerplants, a hint at the next F-Series styling, and a tease at some innovations that may be found in future truck interiors. All these hints at what might come next are found in a vehicle with a name inspired by trains of old, specifically the Santa Fe Super Chief.
