This week on Let’s Talk Cars, we take on an American tradition, the Indianapolis 500. Memorial Day weekend saw the 90th running of this classic in open wheel racing. But crowds and television viewership was down this year, despite a finish that came down to the wire. VehicleVoice contributor David Barrett and AutoPacific Vice President and Senior Consultant Jim Hossack try to figure out why.
Also this week, Ford has joined GM in offering new car buyers fuel incentives. But May sales figures are still way down. Cameron Barrett asks Jim Hossack, AutoPacific’s fuel expert, whether Ford’s $1,000 gas card or GM’s $1.99 per gallon gas will get consumers off the fence and reaching for their wallets.
