AutoPacific: With high marks for reliability, dependability and overall quality, the Toyota 4Runner takes home the 2008 Motorist Choice Award® in the premium mid-size SUV category. Owners also rated the 4Runner tops in both vehicle and brand reputation.
IntelliChoice: The 4Runner has best-in-class overall ownership costs along with the best retained value and fuel costs.

AutoPacific: Owners rated the Chevrolet Impala’s driver’s seat visibility as tops along the way to the vehicle’s 2008 Motorist Choice Award®. Audio system performance and controls that are easy to understand and use also impressed. Owners gave the Impala top marks for power, acceleration and ease of getting in and out.
IntelliChoice: The Impala combined an above-average performance in overall ownership costs with a second-place finish in the AutoPacific survey to take the 2008 Motorist Choice Award®.

AutoPacific: Cadillac Escalade owners gave then vehicle high ratings for styling and image, which may not come as any surprise, but they also gave high marks to the feel of Escalade’s interior fabrics and materials. Adding to Escalade’s 2008 Motorist Choice Award® win were strong ratings for reliability, vehicle ride, interior controls, driver’s seat visibility and instrumentation.
IntelliChoice: The Cadillac Escalade has best-in-class maintenance costs, strong retained value and does not underperform in any one area.

AutoPacific: Owners made the Lexus LS the winner of the 2008 Motorist Choice Award® for premium luxury car by providing the LS with top ratings where it counts: Power, braking, handling and being fun to drive. Owners also applauded the ease of getting in and out of the LS, as well as its exterior styling.
IntelliChoice: While the Lexus LS was not the best in either ownership costs or the AutoPacific survey, it took second place in both. The LS has excellent retained value and repair costs.

AutoPacific: Scoring the highest in overall quality, the Toyota Highlander takes home a 2008 Motorist Choice Award® in the premium mid-size crossover SUV segment. Owners gave Highlander the highest marks for both vehicle and brand reputation. With additional top scores in reliability and, yes, even cup holders, it was clear that the Toyota Highlander was a winner.
IntelliChoice: The Highlander is a strong performer in every area of ownership costs. It has excellent retained value, fuel costs and insurance costs.

AutoPacific: The BMW X5 has been crowned a 2008 Motorist Choice Award® winner in the premium luxury SUV segment, with ratings from owners commending the vehicle for its overall quality and anti-theft features. The X5 also scored higher than the competition for feeling safe while driving and driver’s seat visibility.
IntelliChoice: The BMW X5 was an above-average performer in retained value and fuel and insurance costs. Combined with the X5’s solid performance in the AutoPacific survey, that makes the X5 a 2008 Motorist Choice Award® winner.

AutoPacific: The Toyota Sienna dominated the minivan segment with high ratings across the board and a 2008 Motorist Choice Award®. From high marks for everything from overall quality to safety features, Sienna got a boost from owners with top-of-class scores in ride, handling and power. Owners also were impressed by Sienna’s performance in the all-important minivan trait of interior storage compartments.
IntelliChoice: The Toyota Sienna was a 2008 BOVY Winner and a 2008 Vehicle Satisfaction Award winner, and it has best-in-class ownership costs. In addition, the Sienna has a best-in-class retained value.

AutoPacific: The Toyota RAV4 didn’t just collect top marks for exterior size and cargo capacity — it also received the segment’s highest marks for overall satisfaction. These scores contributed to its Motorist Choice Award® win in the mainstream mid-size crossover SUV segment. RAV4 also received ratings that beat out the competition for traction in all weather conditions, reliability, handling, braking and driver’s-seat visibility. Owners also gave the RAV4 the category’s highest ratings in power and acceleration.
IntelliChoice: The RAV4 is a solid performer in both ownership costs and the AutoPacific survey. The RAV4 has the best-in-class retained value, but it does not perform as well in other areas of ownership costs.

AutoPacific: Scoring extremely well with owners, the Hummer H3 won the 2008 Motorist Choice Award® in the premium mid-size SUV segment. With a chart-topping image score, H3 also received higher interior and exterior styling rankings from owners than any other vehicle in the segment. Owner’s scores indicated that they also felt safe while driving, and they applauded the vehicle’s exterior size. H3’s innovative technology and fun-to-drive factor all contributed to the win.
IntelliChoice: The H3 was among the best in overall ownership costs and had the best-in-class retained value and insurance costs.

AutoPacific: Currently in its third generation, the Subaru Outback is a 2008 Motorist Choice Award® winner. Owners touted the car’s safety with high ratings for traction, safety features and feeling safe while driving. The Outback also garnered top marks for acceleration, handling, overall quality and both vehicle and brand reputation. Driver’s seat comfort and the Outback’s flexible/changeable interior and cargo capacity also were determining factors.
IntelliChoice: The Subaru outback was a 2008 BOVY Winner. In addition, the Outback has best-in-class ownership costs, retained value and insurance costs.
