Jaguar X-Type Wins AutoPacific 2007 Vehicle Satisfaction Award for Aspirational Luxury Car:
“Owners of the Jaguar all-wheel-drive X-Type Aspirational Luxury Car rated the car highly for exterior and interior appearance and on package related measures – things like passenger room, luggage room, ease of entry and egress,” AutoPacific president George Peterson notes. “Standard All-Wheel-Drive resulted in high ratings for Feeling Safe While Driving and Traction In All Weather Conditions. The Jaguar Dealership Experience was also highly rated. Some enthusiasts look down their noses at the little Jag, but clearly X-Type owners like the car and the driving experience it delivers.”

Being the owner of my second X-Type, I agree entirely that those of us who are owners love the car. My first one was a manual 2.5L, a car unjustifiably accused of lacking performance. It seems to me that too many road testers just don’t want to change gears. I now own a 3.0L Luxury; a fantastic car. It is fast, secure and handles like a go kart. Before buying the 3.0 litre, I test drove a 3.0L BMW expecting it to be wonderful. It wasn’t!!! It was skittery and poorly damped. If driving involvement means feeling every bump in your backside, I can do without it!
