We might just have found the oldest unrestored Mercedes still road-worthy. And we found it right here at Cars and Coffee in Irvine, California.
It’s a 1912 Mercedes 3795, with jaw-dropping brushed aluminum sides. It predates the merger of Mercedes with Benz by more than a decade! Approximately the size of the Gadsen Purchase, this rare horseless carriage could seat a rugby team, is chain-driven with a radiator the size of a ship’s prow, and a four-cylinder racing motor.
You gotta see this to believe it just as VehicleVoice’s very own Morgan Patrick did. She also had the chance to ask Mike Koontz of Mercedes Classics Center all about the 3795.
