On Monday, February 19, 2007 XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio made the long expected announcement that they were merging. While this is not yet a done deal because of potential regulatory hurdles it is good news for folks who have become addicted to satellite radio.

Ford Motor Company announced that it would rename the slow selling Five Hundred sedan "Taurus" for the 2008 model year. At the same time Ford will rename the Mercury Montego sedan "Sable" and the Freestyle Crossover SUV the "Taurus X".

Audi's Johan de Nysschen clearly stated the objectives for Audi of America in an Automotive News World Congress speech given in Detroit last week. de Nysschen is the Executive Vice President of Audi of America Inc. and has plans to make the brand much more aggressive in the United States.

Changfeng Motor had a display at the 2007 North American International Auto Show. While Changfeng featured their Liebao ("cheetah" in English) Motors entries, they also devoted some valuable space in their booth to this concept vehicle developed by Hunan University.
