AutoPacific has a new category in its Vehicle Satisfaction Awards - the Rising Star. This is the brand that has moved upwards the most in its rankings in the VSA results. Hyundai climbed eleven positions to win the award in this new category.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has announced the winners of its 2009 Top Safety Picks. There are 72 winners in 2009; more than double in 2008 and more than 3 times as many as in 2007.

AutoPacific: Taking home the 2008 Motorist Choice Award® in the sporty car segment, the Mustang earned top marks for image and brand reputation. Owners also rated both the exterior and interior styling of the Mustang as the best in the segment. Driving dynamics such as braking, handling, power and acceleration added to the win. Owners concluded that the Mustang is also very fun to drive.
IntelliChoice: The Ford Mustang was a 2008 Vehicle Satisfaction Award winner and has best-in-class ownership costs.

AutoPacific: Owners gave high marks to the Sky for its interior and exterior styling and overall image. They felt safe while driving and ranked the Sky as having the best innovative technology and anti-theft features, as well as a best-in-class ride. Also adding to the car’s 2008 Motorist Choice Award® win were high marks for controls that are easy to understand and use.
IntelliChoice: The Saturn Sky was a 2008 Vehicle Satisfaction Award winner. In addition, the Sky has best-in-class repairs and insurance along with excellent fuel costs.

AutoPacific: Premium sports car owners rated the Audi TT as the category’s winner of the 2008 Motorist Choice Award®. The win was derived from top scores for safety features, feeling safe while driving, ride and ease of getting in and out. The interior of the Audi TT really pushed it to the head of the class, with high scores for instrument layout, controls having a quality feel, quietness inside, interior styling, feel of interior fabrics and materials and driver’s seat comfort. The TT’s traction in all weather conditions was also the best in the category.
IntelliChoice: The Audi TT tied with the Chevrolet Corvette within a very small class. The Audi TT has a strong retained value and was a 2008 Vehicle Satisfaction Award winner.
