2008 Vehicle Satisfaction Award top brand honors went to Cadillac, while other luxury brands such as Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche also had strong showings. But what does it mean to have a top brand? Though calculations single out one brand as having the highest overall score, each individual attribute also has its own top scorer. Sometimes the detail underneath it all can have just as much, if not more, meaning than the final outcome.

In the Premium Sports Car segment, owners proved Porsche really know their target buyers and understands how to build their ideal vehicle. Owners gave top scores to all three of Porsche’s Premium Sports Cars, dominating the segment and creating an in-house three-way tie. The 911, Cayman and Boxster share in the glory of first place.
For the second year in a row, the Porsche Cayman won top marks as an ideal vehicle in the Premium Sports Car segment. The 911 had the edge when it came to visibility, ride, and ingress/egress but the Cayman was touted for its safety features, cargo space and exterior styling.
The owner ratings found that the only substitute for a Porsche is… well… another Porsche. Boxster took home a 2008 Ideal [...]

Based on the current 911 Turbo, the 911 GT2 is a beast. We had a few minutes with David Pryor, Vice President of Marketing of Porsche Cars North America who said "The GT2 is the perfect blend between the Porsche Turbo and the GT3. The GT2, At 530 horsepower, is the most powerful naturally aspirated six cylinder engine in any production car.
